As things stand a no-deal Brexit would happen on April 12th if the House of Commons does not get behind an alternative Brexit plan. Leaving the European Union on the British Prime Minister’s Withdrawal Agreement looks increasingly unlikely with the EU excluding any renegotiation of the Agreement. Beyond this, though, there are still many possibilities.
A contingency plan comprising several action points has been adopted by the Maltese Government in case a no-deal Brexit occurs, most notably a special 10-year residency permit for British nationals living in Malta.
If you are a British national living in Malta, a no-deal Brexit might well affect you, so it’s time to consider the implications and take the necessary steps. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
